The Advisors, Advised ?
Some people are incredibly good at giving advice, but they don't seem to be able to give that same advice to themselves. They will jump into someone's issue, troubleshoot it, and give them the best advice possible.
So they are good at giving advice. But when it comes to themselves, they are not that good. Partly in applying, in giving themselves advice first, and in acting on that advice.
So what does that mean about them? Is it that their function is to give advice and never apply it to themselves? Or is it that because they are so good at giving advice, they have lost the ability to look at themselves from the other person's perspective? They can empathize with others, but they struggle to empathize with themselves. I hope it's not the latter because if you can't help yourself but can help others very well, then what use is your ability to you?
Are you one of them?
